National Science and Engineering Week 2010 will be from 12 - 21 March. For 2010 the theme will be ‘Earth’. This Briefing Evening is an opportunity for new event organisers to learn about the theme, find how to organise an event, raise cash, gain publicity and network with other organisers new and old.
Lawrie Peck (Derbyshire STEMNET Manager) will give a brief account of how he helped organise the very successful Science in the Peaks event.
Also the details of how to apply for the 2010 East Midlands Grants will be announced at the event!
If you have already organised an event, please come along and share your experience. New organisers to meet people who have already done it and learn from their experience. And everyone can see what Snibston Discovery Park has to offer!
Refreshments will be served from 18:00.
We look forward to meeting you there.
This is the new name for the British Association for the Advancement of Science. Founded in 1831 it is a registered charity which exists to advance the public understanding, accessibility and accountability of the sciences and engineering. We do this by running National Science and Engineering Week, the British Science Festival, the CREST award scheme and a network of Branches across the UK.
